Are you looking for resources to add to your Irish genealogy toolkit?
You can never have too many and Tourism Ireland has just published an excellent list of 15 places to start looking for your Irish ancestors in that country.
I couldn't have done a better job of putting the list together myself. So credit where it is due, I decided it is worth sharing with you here. The resources cover both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Not only are the resources very relevant and useful, but Tourism Ireland's article is put together with some beautiful photos. I don't know of any other country where family history research is such a major aspect of their tourism industry.
I've used nine of the 15 resources myself in the past. How many can you tick off the list? Let me know in the Comments Section below.
If you are planning a trip to Ireland to trace your ancestors in person, don't forget to order an international sim card for your mobile phone or iPad/tablet from Sim Corner before you leave.
