Ancestry - Free Irish records access for St Patrick’s Day – ends 18 March 2019

Further to my Blog post yesterday, Ancestry is also giving free access to its entire Irish records collection over the St Patrick’s Day weekend. This doesn't happen every day. So drop everything, get over there and get searching. This freebie finishes on Monday, 18 March, so you don’t have a lot of time. Click here for the right page to easily access the records.

Ancestry's Irish collection has over 14 million records and there are no restrictions on them this weekend until and including Monday. Where images of the Irish records are available they are included in the free access.

If you don’t already have an account you will need to create one which is a bit of a drag. But if you do already have an Ancestry account (perhaps you let a previous subscription lapse or maybe you only used them for a free trial period), you can jump straight in and start searching the 140 million Irish records Further to my Blog post yesterday,

If you know anyone else who is interested in Irish family history, pass on the message about Ancestry's very generous Saint Patrick's gift to genealogists. Just send them the link to this Blog post.
