My Heritage is providing free access to their 47million military records in honour of the U.S.A.'s Memorial Day. Their generosity lasts up to and including 28 May 2019.
Click here to go to their SuperSearch function and get started. And remember, MyHeritage don't just have USA military records. Their datasets are from all over the world.
No need to log in. Just use SuperSearch and you will see the results for military records have a "Free" tag next to them. Just click on the record.
I'm heading over there now myself to look for an Irish Uncle, Michael Lynch, who was in the USA during the Civil War and was of an age to serve in the Army. I've often wondered if he served and if he didn't, how he managed to avoid it?
How did you go?
Let me know in the Comments box below if you have any success. I love a good news story and what's not to like when it's online and free?
