As the old song goes, Happy days are here again . . . ! Yes, the Irish Government has released another year's civil birth, death and marriage records.

Now available are:

  • Birth register records – 1864 to 1919;

  • Marriage register records – 1845 to 1944;

  • Death register records – 1878 to 1969.

This is great news and hats off to the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht for having latest batch of digital recorsready to go so early in the new year. And, of course, they are my favourite type of records - online and free.

Wishing you all a successful 2020 which sees you achive great progress in your family history research and particularly in smashing through your brick walls.
